COMITIA Proxy Shopping
COMITIA is Tokyo's dedicated market for wholly original self-published work — no fan art, no derivatives, just creators selling their own manga, novels, and art books. It's smaller and calmer than Comiket, but just as cash-only and just as limited. We go in person so you don't miss it.
What is COMITIA?
COMITIA is a quarterly doujinshi convention held at Tokyo Big Sight, exclusively for original work — every circle at COMITIA is selling something they created themselves, not fan works based on existing anime, games, or manga. It's smaller than Comiket (around 3,000–7,000 circles and roughly 30,000 attendees) but has a devoted following among readers looking for the next great independent creator.
The catalog itself doubles as your entry ticket, sales are cash-only, and there's no English-language information from the organizers — everything is planned and run in Japanese. Print runs are small, artists often only announce their booth number on social media shortly before the event, and once it's sold out, it's gone.
What we can do for you
- Finding the right circle — we track down booth numbers from the catalog and artist social media before the event.
- Queuing & in-person purchase — cash in hand, on the day, exactly like a local attendee.
- Language handled for you — since everything at COMITIA is Japanese-only, we handle the catalog, the venue, and any conversation with circles directly.
- Careful packing & worldwide shipping — your books and art are packed to travel safely, then shipped to your door.
Good to know before you request
COMITIA runs four times a year at Tokyo Big Sight; the next confirmed date is COMITIA 158 on December 13, 2026 — check comitia.co.jp closer to the date for the following edition. Because everything is cash-only and first come, first served, we recommend contacting us at least 2–3 weeks ahead so we can plan the visit, and we'll always tell you honestly if something is likely to sell out before we can reach it.
