How releases work

  • A collection usually goes on sale on the online store in the evening (20:00 in Japan), then reaches stores a couple of days later. For Holiday 2026, that was October 30 online and November 2 in stores. Times can shift.
  • Items are sold until they are gone, and some are sold only online or only at certain stores.
  • Some items have a per-person limit, which can change between the first day and the following days.

Why it is hard from abroad

  • The online store cannot deliver to an address outside Japan.
  • Its payment cards must be issued in Japan and in the buyer's name, which excludes most foreign cards.
  • Popular items sell out fast, so you need someone in Japan on release day.

Where to buy in Japan

  • Regular Starbucks stores: not every store carries every item, and prices can differ slightly in some stores.
  • Reserve Roastery Tokyo: a retail floor on the 1st and 2nd floors, with its own exclusive goods each season.
  • Other Reserve stores sell some of the Roastery items.

How Kizuna helps

We buy in stores in Japan and respect each store's per-person limits.

  • Send us the item (a photo or the name from the Starbucks Japan site) and your budget.
  • We buy it in store once it is released, send you photos, pack it carefully and ship with tracking by EMS.
  • Items sold only on the Starbucks online store may not be possible for us to get. Ask us before you plan around them.
  • Availability is never guaranteed until we hold the item. For Christmas orders, the deadline is December 5.

Before you order

This information comes from the official Starbucks Japan pages as of October 31, 2026. Rules and release times can change, so check starbucks.co.jp for the latest.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Japan proxy service?

A Japan proxy service buys items on your behalf from Japanese websites or physical stores in Tokyo. We act as your local representative — you send us what you want, we purchase it and ship it directly to you worldwide.

Are there any hidden fees?

Never. We communicate every cost clearly before you pay anything. Item price, service fee, and shipping are all broken down separately.

When do I pay?

Payment in two parts: first the item price and service fee before we purchase, then shipping costs once your item is ready to ship.

What if the item arrives damaged?

We photograph everything before shipping. If an item arrives damaged due to our packaging, we work with you to find a solution.
